Start of the Day
Our school operates a free-flow arrival system, meaning children do not line up in classes on the playground.
- School gates open at 8:35am.
- Classroom doors open at 8:45am.
- Children can enter the school building through their designated year group entrance.
- Members of the Senior Leadership Team are on the playground each morning to support children and families.
Classroom doors close at 8:55am, providing a 10-minute window for children to arrive and settle into class ready for learning.
School Hours
The school day runs from 8:45am to 3:15pm.
This equates to 32 hours per week.
We ask all families to ensure children attend school punctually and remain in school for the full day wherever possible so that they do not miss valuable learning opportunities.
Lateness
Lessons begin promptly at 9:00am.
If your child arrives after their classroom door has closed at 8:55am, they must be taken to the school office to be registered.
Please:
- Do not knock on classroom doors.
- Do not leave your child outside a locked entrance.
- Always bring your child to the school office if they arrive after 8:55am.
Attendance marks are recorded as follows:
- Arriving between 9:00am and 9:30am: recorded as late.
- Arriving after 9:30am: recorded as having missed the morning session, although your child will still be registered as present once they arrive.
End of the Day
School finishes at 3:15pm.
- The school gates open at 3:10pm.
- Parents and carers may enter the site from this time to wait for collection.
- Staff will safely dismiss children directly to their parent/carer.
To help dismissal run smoothly, please avoid standing directly in front of classroom doors. This prevents congestion and allows staff to identify parents and carers quickly and safely.
Early Collection
Where possible, appointments should be arranged outside school hours.
If you need to collect your child early, please contact the school office in advance.
Unless an early collection has been pre-arranged, parents and carers should not arrive on site before 3:10pm or ask to be admitted through the school entrance.
